[RPG character]

A maid is a female servant who provides duties such as cleaning and providing food. Knightmare has its share of maids, such as Mellisandre, Marta and Gretel; however, this entry focuses on an unnamed maid appearing in the Knightmare RPG. She was created as a background character by Adam Battersby under the name of "Maidcook", and played by Pooka.

The maid was an officially neutral character who appeared to serve The Artists during RPG Season 4. Initially, her role was assigned to Stephanie Keeler (RPG actors were, at that time, given three major roles and one background one); however, during the scene, she was unable to play the part.

Pooka stepped in; wearing a dress belonging to Lucy Warriner (also known as Sidriss), he cleaned a chair in which Ambrose was sitting. The maid never appeared again.

The tradition of Knightmare RPG actors crossdressing was continued on with Knightmare Dave appearing as Morgaine in later seasons. Pooka described playing the maid as being rather liberating and an interesting experience, while Forester is reported to have said that Pooka's performance made him feel uncomfortable.
