Summoning spell given to Team 2 of Series 8 by Maldame. She claimed that the spell would call to the team's aid any mage or sorcerer, as long as he/she was of the 4th level of magic or above and was named aloud at the time of spellcasting, enabling the team to complete their quest. (Maldame forbade the team from summoning her with the spell.) However, the quest ended before the opportunity arose to cast SAVANT.

A savant is literally a man of learning. My guess is that it would have been used to summon Hordriss - who had, as it happens, made mention of his "reputation as a savant" during Team 7 of Series 7's quest.
