It was rare for a
team on
Knightmare to come across a
potion that they were supposed to take from a clue room, but not to drink. However, Grimlock is one example.
Team 1 of Series 7 picked it up on
Level 1, and ended up exchanging it for a
spyglass from
Rothberry the apothecary.
Grimlock appears to be a reference to a kind of 'monstrous humanoid' from
Dungeons &
Dragons, one of Knightmare's fantasy forebears (more information is available
here). The name may also be an allusion to the
poison hemlock. It is disappointing that the
Watchers did not see such an intriguingly-named potion taking effect.
