Grandos (the name is an anagram of "dragons") was an unseen character referred to in
RPG Season 6 and
RPG Season 7. As a character who was always offscreen such as
Festus, Grandos did not have an actor or puppeteer (Festus RPG did have offscreen actors vocalising). The character as developed by the RPG Team from a concept by Forester; his name was suggested by
Pooka.
Grandos was a young, male
dragon. As the start of the sixth season, Frégo Tirac was tasked by
Treguard with looking after Grandos, who needed care including food and company. This was the start of a departure into the
Dungeon for Frégo, who rarely appeared in the
antechamber for the rest of the season.
Although he was not really relevant to the plot, Grandos did have his moments. A filmed, but unreleased, comic scene at the end of Season 6 resulted in Frégo,
Robin, and even
Treguard covered in dragon snot following some sneezes from Grandos. Frégo could also be encountered feeding Grandos in Season 7.
According to Forester, Grandos had a pit he dwelled in like
Smirkenorff in Knightmare Series 8. As such, he never took flight, and remained an unseen and largely unexplored character.
The RPG Team did not discuss what would happen with Grandos should an eighth season be produced, but if we needed a dragon, at the very least we had one.
