The moving walkways of
London's second largest international airport inspired the
Knightmare production team's codename for the
Corridor of Blades. In a
2012 interview for The Gameological Society,
Hugo Myatt (
Treguard) told
Ellie Gibson it was a
challenge they threw at nerdy gamers who weren't making for good television: "
To be honest, if they put Gatwick in when they had a really dull team, they hoped it would slice their heads off. The problem is, it wouldn't. That's the kind of thing they were probably good at. And then things would go back to them being dull as hell afterwards."
In 2007, a group of fans from the
Knightmare.com Discussion Forum were
similarly reminded of the
CoB whilst travelling through Heathrow Airport.
