1. Worm’s Head
A distinctive limestone headland at Rhossili in Swansea, forming the westernmost point of the Gower Peninsula. Approximately a mile long and comprising three islands (the Inner, Middle and Outer Head), its name is derived from the Old English 'wyrm' meaning a sea serpent (or dragon) which it resembles.

[Related Image] Worm's Head is shown during the end credits of Series 5 episode 3, with Smirkenorff taking off from the Inner Head and flying southwest across it.

[Related Image] After heading out to sea, he veers northwest and flies over the Outer Head. This third section is closed from March to August in order to protect nesting seabirds.
