A distinctive limestone headland at Rhossili in Swansea, forming the westernmost point of the Gower Peninsula. Approximately a mile long and comprising three islands (the Inner, Middle and Outer Head), its name is derived from the Old English 'wyrm' meaning a sea serpent (or
dragon) which it resembles.

Smirkenorff taking off from the Inner Head and flying southwest across it.

After heading out to sea, he veers northwest and flies over the Outer Head. This third section is closed from March to August in order to protect nesting seabirds.
