Entry of the Day - SPEED
1. SPEED
 
 [Related Image] A spell given to Team 12 of Series 3 by Hordriss the Confuser, in anticipation of dungeoneer Chris' retrieval of an hourglass for him. (Yes, Hordriss gave a boy speed. If you perceive a reference, see the entries on Uppers and Downers.) SPEED was cast as Grimwold pursued Chris along a dwarf tunnel, accelerating Chris and enabling his rapid escape from the ogre. The spell had its equivalent in DASH (and other go-faster magic) one season later.

SPEED was also the name of a spell issued by Smirkenorff to Team 5 of Series 8. They used it to safely traverse Fireball Alley, where it apparently reduced the speed of the fireballs.
