Entry of the Day - Titanic
1. Titanic

[Related Image] Known more fully as the RMS Titanic, a famous ocean-going passenger liner that sank in the Atlantic Ocean (a fate some attribute also to Atlantis), during its maiden voyage in April 1912, with high loss of life. Its name is a reference to the Titans, a group of giant super-beings in Greek mythology. The Titanic's departure from Southampton is the subject of a wall monster's question in the 1987 Activision Knightmare computer game.

In July 2007, #knightmare received a visitor going by the screen name Titanic. This was a reference to the cliffhanger of a Doctor Who episode shown the previous month, which had apparently featured the Titanic (later revealed to be a spaceborne replica).
