A spell of this name featured in a number of quests:
Team 3 of Series 1 received it from Lillith, in addition to the spell FREEZER. They cast FLARE in a totally dark room of Level 1, lighting it to reveal that it was the wellway room.

Team 4 of Series 1 were given FLARE by Bert, along with FREEZER and ENERGY; but their quest ended before any of the spells were cast.



Team 10 of Series 3 put FLARE to use in exactly the same way as Team 3 had two series previously, revealing the Level 1 wellway room.

The spell LANTERN, featured in the first series, was similar in effect to FLARE.
