Traditionally, catnip
(or catmint) is a blue-flowered aromatic plant that attracts cats. On Knightmare, the name was applied to a potion with feline properties. When dungeoneer Julie (Team 6 of Series 7) drank the from the Catnip bottle that she had picked up previously, she was transformed into a giant black cat for a few moments. This frightened Raptor away, protected Romahna, and ultimately allowed Julie to leave Level 1 aboard Smirkenorff and continue her quest. [ITV Children's Classics YouTube clip]
