Latin word for master or lord, used by Brother Mace while talking to
dungeoneer Alistair from
Team 2 of Series 4. Dominus is the origin of the French word donjon, which in turn is where the word
dungeon comes from. Presumably this is because owning a dungeon traditionally indicated dominance. Dominic Hares, brother of
Dickon, also owes his name to the word dominus.
