Surname of
Julius Scaramonger, seen in
Knightmare Series 5-6, and of the wife and children mentioned by him ("Mrs. Scaramonger" and the "little Scaramongers"). Julius' mother, referred to in
Series 6 but not seen in any quest, may also have had Scaramonger as a surname.
The name may have been a corruption of 'scaremonger' or of 'Scaramanga'. The latter is perhaps best known as the surname of one of James Bond's adversaries.
