1. Jabberwocky
Poem of so-called nonsense verse by Lewis Carroll that forms part of Through The Looking-Glass, his novel of 1871. The phrase "mimsy were the borogoves" features twice in Jabberwocky; and during Quest 4 of Knightmare Series 3, the Oracle of Confusion is arguably referencing this via misquotation with the utterance "whimsy are the borogroves".

It is not known whether Zoe Loftin misquoted by accident or deliberately, nor whether or not she was ad libbing whilst doing so. But light-hearted poetry of 1871 does seem to follow her through Series 3 (See: The Owl and the Pussycat).

Stephen Daltry's musical Alice Through the Looking Glass features a reading of Jabberwocky by Edmund Dehn, who played Gumboil and other characters in Knightmare Series 1 and 2.

In April 2021, Michael Cule (whose Knightmare characters included Brother Mace and Fatilla) posted a YouTube video in which he read another Lewis Carroll poem, The Hunting of the Snark.
