1. Haddon Hall
A fortified medieval manor house near Bakewell in Derbyshire.

The following Knightmare scenes were filmed at Haddon Hall:

[Related Image] The 14th century Banqueting Hall, hung with numerous antlers, was a Level 2 chamber used for various character encounters in Series 6. It also appeared in Series 7, once as a clue room. Team 5 of Series 7 entered losing status when they missed part of a spell that was hidden here.

[Related Image] The Eyeshield sequence in the screens passage famously includes an anachronistic fire extinguisher that the Watchers weren't supposed to notice! A portal could be found just inside the corridor that leads to the kitchen.

[Related Image] Also in Level 2, the 16th century oak panelled Long Gallery formed part of Witch-Haven, where Team 2 of Series 6 met Heggatty and Team 7 met Greystagg. The image appears to have been digitally modified.

[Related Image] The Long Gallery can be seen complete with its windows in the Spanish version of Knightmare, El Rescate del Talismán.

Haddon Hall is open to the public. Click here to visit the website.

A photograph of the Long Gallery taken by Jake Collins can be found in Issue 48 of The Eye Shield.
