1. Brimham Rocks
A collection of bizarre rock formations near Summerbridge in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire. The Millstone Grit outcrops were sculpted by erosion during the last Ice Age, and many have been given names reflecting their unusual shapes.

Brimham Rocks were visited by Team 3 of Series 6, and were named as the Rocks of Bruin, a mysterious area of Level 2. (Perhaps the name 'Bruin' was inspired by the Dancing Bear rock?)

[Related Image] On the way in, Alan met Lord Fear disguised as Harris, who gave him a Genoese Box of Delights containing a Medusa eye. This was filmed at the rear of Cannon Rocks.

[Related Image] Pickle: "Master, what's so special about the Rocks of Bruin?"
Treguard: "Ah well, it's a place of legend."
Pickle: "What legend, master?"
Treguard: "Don't ask. You wouldn't like to know!"

[Related Image] The next scene was an eventful one. Alan met Heggatty, swapped the box for a BEAUTY spell, summoned Sidriss, swapped the spell for a password, and then had to run from a Pooka!

[Related Image] This area is known as Castle Rocks, and is where Alan encountered the Dreadnort. He then followed the path and found a portal hidden among the rocks. The full length version of this Eyeshield sequence was shown during the end credits of Series 6 episode 1.

Brimham is owned by the National Trust and is open to the public. Entry is free but there is a charge for car parking. Click here to visit the website.
