The name used by Mogdred for the location where he cast a SHROUD spell on dungeoneer Neil (Team 7 of Series 2). Not a terribly imaginative place-name under the circumstances: this was Mogdred calling a spade a spade (unlike the team in question, who preferred to call a shovel a spade).

In all its other appearances, the bridged vale was effectively nameless, except when worms occupied the gully, earning it the name 'Vale of Worms'. Mogdred himself apparently made a second visit to the vale in the quest of Team 6 of Series 3, unleashing a TOAD spell upon McGrew from beneath a disguise.
